Good topic, Linda.

I think that just like the Psalmist we should go to God and simply tell Him exactly what we are feeling or thinking. Why not dump the anger on Him? It's better than acting out fantasies of revenge. Besides, the Psalmist was being completely honest with God. Maybe sometimes I feel vengeful or vindictive. I should tell God about it. I should also go to Confession. But just burying the feelings within one's self isn't what the Psalmist did.

So true Paul on the going to God. Anger for the longest time was the first thing on my list to confess. Even still if I start getting this sick feeling inside of me when I see someone who may even look like my ex I run to Jesus with it. I read recently someone else who had the same problem with a co-worker. They sat in adoration for awhile and before long instead of asking Jesus to help them with the situation at work, they asked Jesus to change their heart for this person. By the time they left adoration they felt at peace and felt no ill feelings toward the co-worker and even got along well after this day. I know in your situation it may take awhile because of alot of painful feelings involved but I have no doubt God can handle whatever you bring to him. Keeping these feelings inside are not going to give you freedom of spirit. These feeling's need the healing touch of Jesus. You are in my prayers my dear friend.
